The protective field is the area in which the test object specified by the manufacturer is detected by the electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE). As soon as the electro-sensitive protective device detects an object in the protective field, it switches the associated safety outputs to the OFF state. Downstream controllers can use this signal to end the dangerous state, for example, to stop the machine or vehicle.
