Page Header
DMP position finders are optoelectronic sensors that are used for millimetre-accurate fine positioning in the storage and conveyors segment, among others. Changing geometric conditions are found here (e.g. at transfer and docking stations) due to temperature-, load- or steel structure-dependent effects, making reliable positioning impossible. The DMP position finder was developed and subsequently further developed to solve this problem. The sensors are used for fine positioning in the x- and y-directions, in particular.
The reflector-free DMP3 is recommended for operating distances of 200 mm - 350 mm. The device is a camera-based sensor that carries out fine positioning on holes or colored points. The DMP2 is used for longer operating distances of up to 2.000 mm. This sensor operates with reflectors.
Both devices are always oriented towards the current actual in-situ conditions, and thus allow reliable and highly accurate storage and retrieval or docking processes.
