MPS

Superior positioning: MPS Magnetic Position Sensors

Position detection on pneumatic cylinders with maximum precision

  • Differing housing lengths for different measurement ranges
  • Superior positioning: MPS Magnetic Position Sensors
  • Position detection on pneumatic cylinders with maximum precision
  • Differing housing lengths to suit various cylinder sizes
  • Maximum resolution and accuracy
  • Suitable for high piston travel speeds
  • Fast drop-in mounting from above in all common T-slots
  • Fixing with just two screws

Thanks to the use of MPS devices, pneumatic cylinders are becoming increasingly popular as drive elements in assembly and handling systems in contrast to more expensive and slower linear motors.

MZT8

Short and flush: MZT8 magnetic cylinder sensors for pneumatic cylinders with T-slot
  • Shortest sensor on the market - length = 24 mm: therefore ideally suited for short-stroke cylinders
  • Sensor element at the front of the sensor (fixing screws at the back): detection of pistons with no stroke reduction
  • Fixing screws cannot be lost: convenient commissioning
  • Simplest possible handling: "single-hand" mounting using Allen key with 1/4 turn
  • Extremely rugged: Immune against environmental conditions, vibration and impacts.

MZ2Q

Convincingly flexible, ridiculously small:

MZ2Q magnetic cylinder sensors with 2 adjustable switching points (teach me twice)

  • Convincingly flexible, ridiculously small: MZ2Q magnetic cylinder sensors
  • One principle, two housings: MZ2Q for T- and C-slots - 2 adjustable switching points
  • User-friendly insertion in the slot from above
  • Faster and more economical end-position and intermediate position detection on pneumatic cylinders or grippers

Important applications on pneumatic cylinders and grippers:

  • detection of piston end-position
  • detection of central positions of the piston in order to exploit advance signals and therefore optimise cycle times
  • object detection, clamps and presses
